Creating a women’s football section was an important part of our 2020-23 Development Plan. In 2020 we merged with Lejdis Luboń and our new women’s team entered Liga IV. We also launched girls’ youth teams in the Warta Poznań Academy. Several footballers were called up to play in Poland youth national teams.

In this way Warta Poznań returned to women’s football after 18 years. In the year 2000 Warta’s women’s football team was the first in Poznań to enter the league system. In 2002 the team finished third in Poland’s top women’s league but it was later disbanded.
